OMC masterplan
In later steps we modulated this catwalk, to fit to the existing buildings (diagram 2), and than planned the volumes along that spine to complement its urban gesture (diagram 3).

The detailing of the green strip is following the idea to create two major paths that form the outline of it, and later connect those with smaller crossings. We followed the idea of the human DNA to have an organisation system of the paths that does not loose the image of a free shape.
The OMC fashion group is developping a plot of land along the coast of Qingdao, Shandong province. The program calls for a mix of functions: residential, office, retail and several fashion orientated facilities, for example stores, accessible production, fashion school, event areas.

The site slopes down from the west towards the water, what encouraged us to create a central spine, free of car traffic, along which all the public functions are associated. It is area of "to see and to be seen" appropriatedly dubbed "The Catwalk".
