fuzhou hotel clubhouse

We see the existing monastry as one 'building stone', and decide to add further ones - also in a mineralic surface, in this case concrete - to house the different functions. The new 'stones' are molded along the height of the topography and their roofs follow the same free shapes.

They are connected to each other through a volume made of glass and wood, that forms a contrast to the heavyness of the rest.

Adjacent to a conference hotel in Fuzhou a cluster of clubhouses are to be erected. In those clubhouses a mix of restaurants, meetingrooms and SPA facilities are to be offered.

The site is dominated by a group of steep hills, and a derelict former monastry, which we chose to incorporate in our design.
