In 2012 the AIA Cincinnati launched a competition to transform an abendoned former electric factory into a compound titled LIVE - MAKE.

It called for architectural proposals for a facility that would feature residences, manifacturing and light industrial studios and an open workshop that could help shape a new economic opportunity for the neighborhood. It was located in an area in Cincinnati, that was recently designated as an Urban Mix Zone in order to encourage a return of manufacturing and living.

This proposal aims to put the existing building in its core, reusing it as far as possible and adding new volumes around it to create a complex, whose elements are legible individualy, but form a symbiotic compound that reflects its programatic ideas.
